Introducing the Amber-Dancer Tail Light Modification for the 2002~2003 Yamaha YZF-R1 !!

This tail light modification integrates ultra-bright amber LED turn signals into the taillight assembly to form one integrated, totally LED, taillight / brake light / turn signal package. You lose none of the factory-original red LED taillight and brake light function. The unique phase-shifting turn signal circuitry enhances the 40 amber turn signal LED's with the eye-catching illusion of sideways motion while blinking. This is accomplished by the offset of the amber LED's in respect to the red LED's, in conjunction with the blanking of the adjacent red LED's simultaneous to the amber LED's illumination, and vise-versa.

This modification does not alter the original LED circuit board inside the taillight, but instead replaces it with a totally new LED circuit board that utilizes state-of-the-art surface-mount technology.

The number one cause of high-intensity LED failure is the build-up of heat in the internal structure of the LED. It is for this reason the new LED circuit board was designed with over-sized circuit traces so as to help with LED heat dissipation. It is for this same reason that the heat-producing current-limiting resistors are placed outside the taillight shell, so as to keep the interior taillight temperature as low as possible. This translates to higher reliability and greater longevity of the LED's.

Fender Elimination Total Solution

LB-'X' License Bracket $24.95 The LB-B or LB-S license brackets are made with 16 ga. steel and powder-coated either black (LB-B) or silver (LB-S). The brackets are designed to use the original fender mounting hardware. These brackets are strong, yet light. They also feature a mounting hole for the LPL License Light.

LPL, Libertek License Light $49.00 Extremely small and bright white LED in black anodized aluminum housing. The bright-white light has a subtle blue tint that looks very classy. The LB-'X' series license brackets feature a mounting hole for the LPL.

Turn Signal Flasher Replacements

With the stock turn signal flasher relay in place, installation of the Amber Dancer Taillight will cause the turn signal blink rate to approximately double, and in some cases, not operate at all! We offer two choices for flasher relay replacement.

EL-12, Tridon Flasher Relay $9.95 Restores 'normal' blinker rate upon Amber Dancer installation. Has audible turn indication. Needs a minimum of one incandescent turn signal lamp per side (left & right) to operate.

F1, Libertek Flasher Relay $39.00 Restores 'normal' blinker rate upon Amber Dancer installation. Features user-adjustable 1~6 flashes per second blink rate. Requires no minimum load. If you have LED front turn signals, the Amber Dancer will not signal properly without the F1 installed.

We then reply within 48 hours or less with an order number. Next, you package your stock taillight for shipment and include your order number, name, and address. The Amber dancer cannot be sent First Class Mail because the ship-weight is over the maximum of 13 ounces. You must send your taillight to us via the Postal Service and use Parcel Post, Priority or Express Mail. Commercial parcel couriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Airborne Express, etc.) will not deliver to a PO Box.

For those that want minimal bike downtime, there is the Exchange Program. How this works is you place your order via phone, FAX, or our secure order page. We reply within 48 hours or less with an order number. We then ship you a pre-modified Amber Dancer taillight assembly. Once your Amber Dancer installation is complete, you then package up your original taillight assembly, including your order number, name, and address, and ship it back to us. The added convenience of the Exchange Program comes at a price of $34.95 and is subject to taillight 'core' availability at the time of the order. The part number for the Exchange Program is EX001. Also, as a required part of the Exchange Program, there is additional refundable taillight Core-Charge of $64.95. What this means then, at the time of order, an additional $99.90 is charged to your account. When we receive your original taillight back, your account is credited $64.95, if your taillight qualifies. To qualify for the Core-Charge Credit, your taillight must be in perfect condition, i.e. no lens scratches or gouges anywhere on the assembly and also no alterations or modifications to the assembly, wiring harness, LED's, or circuit board.
